I was shocked because we couldnt buy any Xiaoshan ribao in Xiaoshan. We saw the papers in the hotel, but not in the newspapers stall. Not even bookshop ...

Conference Finals - Heat vs Mavericks

I saw Game One last Friday, repeat at 10.30 pm. I was disappointed.

Firstly, The Heat was not playing at it's best. I'm sure Wade wasnt (partly due to his ailing flu). Shaq is in his usual dominant self, including his missed free throws. Antonie was great too, making several threes. So is Jason Williams, in his usual quickness. Gary didnt play well. I think he mssed all his field goal attempts. His defense on Jason Terry was nowhere to be seen. Alonzo wasnt given a lot of opportunity to prove his defensive presence. I think Riley need to adjust his players-rotation.

I'm not pleased with his line-up. Antonie played excellent defense throughout the series. I would have thought Riley could use him on Dirk. I aint not respecting Josh Howard, but I think Dirk is still the main offensive threat. Dirk is also active on rebounding too, on both ends of the court. The Heat gotta stop him in a way or another. I would say, to put Antonie on him. Antonie played in Dallas before. If Michael Finley could defend Dirk, I dont see Antonie couldnt.

At the same time, Riley should monitor Antonie's playing minutes. He played way too many minutes in Game 1. Fatigue is one reason that caused Heat's turnovers in the Fourth Quarter. Both Antonie and Dwayne looked extremely exhausted and it's no surprise to me for the turnovers. Riley could have used more of Gary, James, and Alonzo. To play Alonzo alongside with Shaq would be something I'm looking forward to. Not sure if it's going to happen.
