2 May 2006
Two special occasions to remember,
Yesterday is my wife’s brother 21st birthday, YK, 1 May 2006
Today is LS’s 27th birthday, 2 May 2006.
Of course, I have sent them my blessing and wishes for their great future ahead.
Today I have mixed feelings, about the things I do, as the title says it, to do with the fishes. It started with 5.09pm when LK, emailed and asked if wanna hang out for KTV. I told him I’m fine with it, since he’s traveling to Denver for a business trip and we wont be having much opportunity to sing together (before our Hang Zhou trip at end of May). Then he said Carolyn is joining as well, and insist going to the Partyworld near Maxwell market. Then I thought, sianz, why cant we just have it at the one behind Circular Road …. Then in a flick of a second, I decided I should just quit and head towards Pasir Ris Farm, to find my water plants.
On my way to the Farm, I saw two buses going side by side, making the two-lane road, which already is quite squeezed, narrower. F**k the bus no. 15 drivers. The timing was about 1830 hours. Damn it man.
In the farm, back to the old fish stall where I first bought my 20 neon tetras, I found some fighting fishes (sex: F), costing only $1 per piece. Yes, what am I waiting for? Hee
Then I spend some time to view the water plants. Shi*, it cost $4 – 8 per lot. I took a photo, which I suspect it’s java ferns, and send it to DJ, via my Sony Ericsson phone, and hope to seek his confirmation. False enough, I was wrong.
Then I went further down to other fish shops and found many interesting marine fishes, one of them is the nemo. Hope to upgrade myself to rearing marine fishes one day.
Then I bought another 20 tetras from a another shop, and learnt from him that further down the road (towards the Pasir Ris camp) there is this shop that sells water plants. Without further a do, I head down straight, and as lucky as I am, they haven’t closed yet. Bought 10 bucks worth of water plants from them, being 5 for the java ferns and 1 each for the rest.
Was angry when I come back to clear the tank. Firstly, I added anti-chlorine into water. Then found a dead body. Nevermind, I cleared it. Subsequently, for safety reasons, I switched off the filter pump. Then I found three dead bodies, one of them is the sucker fish, and the other two are tetras. I thought the sucker fish is tough. Anyway, it proved me wrong and didn’t survive. Something is wrong with the tank, but I don’t know what is wrong.
And incase this is not the worst, the filter is not in good working condition! To hell with it, this is #$%#$^&%^&^ leave me relying solely on the other filter pump, which is extremely noisy. Need to get a new one tomorrow. And a airpump. Read form somewhere that tetras need acidic good oxygenated water. And they like blood worms. Yucks. Gnn, how acidic is acidic? #$#%#%$
I’m having doubts if I can ever handle the tank again. Will see. Night.
