Lakers sucks in Game 4

I cant tell how disappointing, digsusted I was over game 4 of the Conference Finals. I know, I know how tough is Boston. That's why you need Game 5. Why is Kobe penetrating only at the near mid/end of the 4th Quarter? Why cant he do it early in the 3rd Quarter? Why cant Gasol dunk the basket? Why cant Odom get the ball at the low post and let him work on the overmatched Posey? Why? Why?

I gave up. I think I will still watch Game 5, but I hardly think the Lakers can make it. I they can make it, they would have won at least one game in Boston.

Lakers Down 1-2

The Celtics were terrific in Game 1. Their defense were too tough for the Lakers to match-up, especially in the 4th quarter. And I think the Lakers played their Starters too much that they ran out of gas in the 4th. Give credit to Doc's rotation on their players.

Game 2 was a disappointment. I didnt mean the Lakers played badly. It was quite obvious the officiating were very, very bad. A little contact they called it a foul. C'mon, this is playoff basketball. What is on their mind? To tell the audience the kids that basketball is clean sport without contacts? I think the officials had their bets in their hands. Yeah, there were cases like this. No doubt about that. I think Stern should investigate their bank accounts.

Game 3 is good. The Lakers played with a sense of urgency. They came to play. At one time I thought only Kobe came and played. And slowly the bench picked up the slack. Sasha is overwhelming sharp, confident. The commentors said that this was one of his playoff best. I dont think so. The Lakers didnt get to the Finals depending on Kobe alone. The Bench plays a part and that's for sure. I like the way Phil insert frsh bench players. For instance, Trevior Ariza. He didnt get a lot of minutes in the playoffs. I think for matchup purposes, it's a good bet to put his body on the Celtics. The Celtics this time round lost their momentum in the play. Unlike Game 2 where they got away with a lot of cheap fouls and flopping, Game 3 calls did not go their way. The officials were brighter and fairer this time. Lamar, please pick up your game!

Thank goodness that the Sports Channel did not get Colins to be the commentors for the game. I watched the Spurs series and I really felt his remarks on the play and game analyst sucks big time. * . . see if I'm the coach I will want to beat up this team while Kobe is resting on the bench . . .* Well, he didnt really say this but something like this. I think a fool can tell yeah, of course. Beat Lakers while Kobe is on the bench. If this is easily done, then the Lakers will not be appearing in the Western Conference Finals. The Lakers plays team basketball now. Every player contributes. Foolish comments I would say.

Game 4 is Thursday night at the Staples Centre. How I wish to buy a ticket to watch the game in LA .....

Jumbo is no bowl

The food quality is not there. The dishes served were cold. The service was slow. The crab was ex. The ordering waitress - sucks.

Slumperdad strike 4D two times in a row. Good for him. So the fammily gotta a free treat. Slumpersis suggested Jumbo. I thot quite ok lar. It didnt turn out to be the case.


We should have chosen Long Beach instead.

4-2 Lakers win

This is impressive! Considering how tough the Jazz are playing in the series. Most remarkably, they are 37-4 this season, and the only other win by the Lakers was back the days of Magic and Kareem. The Lakers took that away again in Game 6 and Kobe and gang made history. Of course, you need to see who's the coach of the team. Phil Jackson.

The Lakers' momentum was good and I like the fact that they played well in Game 5, the decisive game. In Game 6, the Jazz played strugglingly right from the start of the first Quarter. True, this is an elimation game. Who's not panicking? They hung on there to be as close to a 3-point game.

This is a real good series. I like that the competitiveness of the two teams. And I hope the Lakers continue with their composure into the Western Conference Finals.

this is the no. i saw after,

1) watching game 5 of utah jazz at the los angeles lakers. good work kobe. i thot you couldnt make it because of your soreback. i played like you in game 4 on my last game at bedok last Wednesday. i was shooting terribly, 1 for x no. of field goals. another off night for me. but i had good looks. the shots just didnt fall for me. and i made some costly turnovers. nevertheless, the game was close.

2) cycled to Tampines, had a bowl of prawn noodles, and cycled back to Pasir Ris. it was a hot saturday afternoon. the workout was good lar.

3) removed the debris from the tank and changed water for all the tanks

4) swept the floor.

5) mobbed the floor.

I think i can see better result than 83. but 16 kilo is not something i can achieve at this time. or ever ....


i wanna wear those tight jeans like michael jackson does! but my waist is ever growing since after hitting 30.

I dont understand again.

For the past few months I hardly took good care of the 4 ft tank on the wall. I've basically just let the goldies swim freely. The tank is without any filtering, and with no air pump attached. So the water gets yellow easily after one week, and the internal tank gets dirty too. It's quite unsightly but at least the fishes survived.

Then ....

Last Sunday I decided to clean up the tank. Added two small hanging filters, one air pump, a plant, 4 tiny sucker fishes, and removed the soils. Because of relaying those messy wires, I even got my finger cut by a penknife. Very deep. Blood flows seemlessly. * ouch *. oh, i added an overhead lamp too, so my fishes dun have to swim in the dark so oftenly.

Also bought another 4 goldies today.


Two of my goldies were dead a minute ago when I just got home.



Sad. They are so cute. i dont know what causes it. Is it because of the water condition? Is it because of the sucker fishes? I need to find out man. I dont understand at all. I thot the setup was perfect. That's what I thought .... I should think what the fishes think, and not care what I think.



Slumperman needs to do something this Sunday again.

Anyway, the two casualties are sent to Pearly's tank. Dont waste it man.

It's the seond time I saw this word Brussels. One during work. oh f*cking rich man's bank in Brussels. Second in MJ's blog. Seems like I need to pay Belgium a visit. I like Belgium chocolates.

I picked my game recently. I was good. I made 2 straight 3-pointers from the left wing. Well, the old birds put some water lah. And also, they thot I couldnt make it. I was 100 percent from the field .... On Wednesday, I hit another two 3-pointers at the top of the key. We won the game. It felt good.

I hurt my left knee a year plus ago. And on Monday when I was playing at Bedok, I jammed my right knee. I could still play, and I could still run the court, jump for rebounding. But I couldnt bend my knee. I was in much pain when I rode to the client's place for training. And worst, Ubi area jammed like f*ck. Sibeh torturing man ..... I went for iron hit after that, at around 5 plus. Luckily, there wasnt any queue. The iron hit was painful man, but the knee felt good thereafter.

I felt good for Pau Gasol.

That was Game 1 vs the Denver Nuggets. The trio played well, but they are on form!

Kobe anyhow play play also can scored 20 - 30 plus points liao. He's crazy!

I was wondering why Phil put Gasol played through-out the whole of second half even though Camby was on the bench. Here's my guess,

1) Ronnie didnt play particularly well. Well, true. He got kenna stripped infront of the Nuggets player, didnt really protect his balls. Even though this is the case, it happened in the first half. Usually Phil will still give the player a chance to redeem himself. Phil is a patient man.

2)Pau is on form. His inside play with Lamar Fisher Bryant and Walton are too much for the Nuggets to cover. The passing, inside scoring, easy baskets, what can I say? It reminded me of my inside play with YK at hc. Those kind of ball sense ... you dont gotta feel it all the time.

3) Phil wants Game 1. He dislike losing I guess. He was kicked out by the Suns in the previous first round of playoffs. He wants Game 1 badly.

4) Phil respects the Nuggets players. He knows anytime they could fought back and got back in the game. Phil wants his best player to be on the floor. But I thought it was Kobe .... He struggled with his shooting, I guess he's still not the best everytime.

5) Phil wants Pau to feel good about winning in the Playoff games. He wants him to be ready in the Playoffs. Mentally plus physically. He wants him know that he cant win a championship without his hardwork on both ends of the floor. He needs him to understand that the team cannot just rely on Kobe. You need to earn for it and win the game.

6) Pau never won a Playoff game in NBA before. In his previous three Postseason experience, he lost all the games and was 0-12 in the books. I can recall, 8 of those games were against the Spurs ...

Well, Pau - go for it! I'm on you!

Slumperman's NBA preview

Hey, it's playoff time again!


I dont usually pay much attention to the NBA season but this season is a crazy one. It started off with trade demands from Mr Bryant to the trade rumors of the top players from the Chicgo Bulls. The trade, of course, didnt go through. I think Kobe did the right thing, making noise to the front office and keep complaining, just like he did in the regular season with the referees and ended up with the most number of technical fouls. One more he will automatically be suspended by the league!

Then, here came the blockbuster trade that brought Paul Gasol in and sent Kwame Brown to the Grizzlies. This trade should have come earlier. It is pretty obvious, what the missing pieces the Lakers was experiencing after Andrew Bynum went down. The lakers were up again with Paul addition, and I love to see it. I dont need him to be flashy, I just need him to be able to flow in with the Triangle Offense and play some tough defense. I like Ronnie. He's no tall, but he's making the block shots night after night!

Weeks later, Shaq was sent to the Suns for the run-and-gun - Shawn Marion. I think the Suns need this, someone who can stop Tim Duncan. The Spurs seem like the only team whom the Suns can never beat. I werent say Shaq still has the juice to play his game, but it sure matter when they meet the Spurs in the postseason. And sure they did, they met in the first round.

It was a dismay season for the Bulls, whom I've expected to compete in the post-season. It didnt happen. I thought the trade rumors, as written in the ESPN news, affected them. I think somehow, it did. Afterall, who doesnt want to play with the Lakers? The Bulls from what I see, were quite stingy. I know Scottie didnt really got paid at what he should be getting. He's an All-star, c'mon. How true it this? I dont know. I only read it somewhere. I also read the top two players turned down a Contract extension! You got to be kidding? You are offered a permanent job with pay increment! And you turn it down? For whatever situations, a person's worth sometimes is indeed judged by how much he's capable of. If he doesnt see the minimum he's expecting, the morale changes. The urge to work for the company, the intensity, the attitude, the will to play for the organisation, changes. So, it's the management office's responsibility to fix this. Not change the players nor the coach. Fix the remuneration package. Fix other other things. If you gonna lose a potential player and have to spend so much to sign another player, this person is sure no-brainer man. As stupid as we see it, this is happening around the world. Packaging is what most people see it.

It not only apply to the Sports world, it also applies to the corporate world too. 50 bucks, I pui! I rather go work part-time.

The playoff starts today, and I'm anxious to see the Lakers play in the playoffs again!
